Pearl Yvonne Newsom Everman

Yvonne Newsom Everman, 76, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Friday August 1, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family, after a courageous five year battle with cancer.  Yvonne was born April 13, 1938 in Pleasant Valley, KY daughter of the late Fred and Rena Bentley Newsom.  Including her parents she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tate Commodore Dearfield, a great-grandchild, Jackson Dearfield, and  twenty two brothers and sisters.
Yvonne was a graduate of Olive Hill High School in 1955, worked as the Deputy Clerk for District Court for 24 years, a member of the First Baptist Church of Grayson for over 50 years, a member of the Republican Women’s Club, was an Election Poll worker for Carter County and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of 59 years, Don West Everman Sr. of Grayson; two daughters, Marquetta (Perry) Dearfield and Jane (Michael) Potter both of Grayson; a son, Don W. (Valerie) Everman Jr of Grayson ; eight grandchildren, Dustin (Sarah) Everman, Weston Everman, Austin Everman, Whitney Dearfield, Perry Dearfield, Jr., Michaela Potter, Michael (Wendy) Potter and Lori Potter; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb Everman, Lennix Everman, Macey Everman, Markeylen Dearfield, Trey Potter and Jared Potter.
Funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday August 5, 2014 at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-9 pm Monday August 4, 2014 at the funeral home.  Condolences may be sent to the Everman family at www.malonefuneral home.com
