Carol Waugh Johnson Rice

Carol Sue Waugh Johnson Rice, 69 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born October 4, 1947 in Grayson a daughter of the late Charles Hayden and Mary Lou Valandingham Waugh. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church. She was preceded by her husband James Earl Rice in 2014; two sisters, Jennifer Waugh and Lisa Skaggs. She is survived by; two sons, Hubert “Hub” and wife Kara Johnson and James “Jay” Johnson both of Grayson; three brothers, Chanie Waugh of Carter City, Jeff Waugh of Olive Hill and Doug Waugh of Belfast, KY; six sisters, Conechia Johnson of Grayson, Tiretha Mauk of Grayson, Belva Schumacher of Grayson, Dawn Mauk of Flemingsburg, KY, Loushetta Jordan of Ashland and Sherry Waugh of Olive Hill; three grandchildren; Makaila Johnson’s mamaw and Nathian Watkins and Brady Johnson’s nan.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Malone Funeral Home with Ed Jones, minister. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Family would like to give a special thanks to Community Hospice staff for all their care and kindness.
