Dorothy Faye (Glass) Carroll

Dorothy Faye Glass Carroll, 90, of Grayson, KY went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Dorothy was born May 25, 1927 in Grayson a daughter of the late Claude and Florence Everman Glass. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Carroll, Sr. in 1985; a son, Doug Carroll in 2003; a daughter, Kathy Forrest in 2014; two sisters, Lorraine Greer and Lillian Grace Haney, and a brother, Franklin Glass. Dorothy was formerly employed with Huntington Sylvania, Hilltop Greenhouse and The Shoe Factory in Portsmouth, OH. Dorothy was a member of the Gregoryville Christian Church. Dorothy loved quilting, gardening, working in her flower garden and watching her hummingbirds.  Dorothy is survived by one son, George “Buzzy” Carroll Jr. of Carter City; one daughter, Carolyn (Jim) Thompson of Mt. Sterling, KY; one sister, Lois Haney of Columbus, OH; one brother, Hubert Glass of Argillite, KY; a son in-law, Jim Forrest of Grayson; five grandchildren, Ashley Grubb, Earl (Rhonda) Willis, Paul (Tonya) Willis, Debbie (Brian) Martin, and Julie (Paul) Huntsman; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services for Dorothy will be conducted 1 pm Monday July 24th at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Rev. Gary Waugh officiating. Interment will be in the Carroll Family Cemetery.
