Doy Carter Haney

Doy Marie Terry Carter, 89 went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hospice Care Center after a short illness. She was born November 9, 1927 in Grayson a daughter of the late Roosevelt and Hazel Wilburn Terry. Doy was preceded in death by her first husband Samuel “Sammy” Carter and her second husband Clifford Haney; one brother, Finis Terry and one nephew Brian Keith Waugh. Her survivors include one son; Samuel “Terry” Carter; one sister, Annadean (Terry) Bauers; one brother, Dr. Calvin Terry; five nieces/nephews, Randell Waugh, Shara Savage, Suzette Howard, Dwight Terry and Timothy Terry; three grandchildren, David (Melissa) Carter, Teressa (Shawn) Frazier and Laura (Scott) Broughton; seven grandchildren and one great-grand child; and many other family and friends; special thanks to her very special caregivers; Charlotte Sparks, Teresa Miller, Melissa Stewart and Koneta Littleton.
Services will be conducted Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Joed Rice, minister. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Friday at Malone Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Carter, Eric Carter, Ryan Carter, Jacob Adkins, Tylar Lucas, Scott Savage, Gavin Broughton and Alex Broughton.
