Elsie Davis Gilbert Jobe

Elsie Davis Gilbert Jobe 77, of Greenup went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Good Samaritan Select in Lexington KY. Elsie was born September 8, 1940 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Lovell Sr. and Bertha Kee Davis. She was a personal care giver serving many families, a member of First Baptist Church of Grayson and member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Gilbert and her second husband Roscoe Jobe; three sisters, Frieda Waugh, Faye Taft and Delores “Tiny” Wolfe; one brother, Lovell Davis Jr. She is survived by three sons, Charles L. (Donna) Gilbert of Dayton, Maine, Richard (Tammy) Gilbert of Grayson and Rodney Gilbert of Greenup; two daughters, Brenda (Charles Ray) Claxon and Reva (Roy) Clay both of Grayson; three sisters, Shirley Reed of Grayson, Dorothy Kouns of Portsmouth OH and Bobby Mayo of Grayson; one brother Darrell Davis of Grant AL; one niece whom she raised, Monica O’Neal of Grayson; seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bill Burnett, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
