Emma Wilburn

Emma Christine Griffith Wilburn, 82, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Friday June 23, 2017. Emma was born June 14, 1935 in Carter County a daughter of the late Lawrence and Christine Halterman Griffith. Including her parents Emma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Harold V. Wilburn, Sr.; a son, Harold V. Wilburn, Jr.; four sisters, Alma Counts, Amanda Halterman, Edith Meadows and Roxie Campbell; five brothers, L.C. Griffith, Edford Griffith, Everett Griffith, Chris Griffith and Adner Griffith.
Emma was member of Grahn Church of Jesus Christ. Emma worked at several Grayson restaurants over the years also cleaning homes for people. Emma is survived by a daughter, Betty McDowell of Grayson; three sons, Randall (Tonya) Wilburn of Sevierville, TN, Michael K. (Brenda) Wilburn of Grayson and William “Bill” Wilburn of Grayson; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and many friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. John Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Damron Cemetery.
