Jamie L Wilburn

Jamie “Smiley” Lawrence Wilburn, 70, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on November 3, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 20, 1947 in Lockbourne, OH, a son of the late James L. and Doshie Griffith Wilburn Jr. Including his parents Jamie was preceded in death by his first wife, Phoebie Steele Wilburn; a brother, Douglas “Doug” Wilburn; and a sister, Emma Christine Griffith. Jamie worked as a heavy equipment operator, enjoyed horseback riding, racing, and motorcycles. Jamie was known for his contagious personality. Jamie’s love was playing with and spending time with the kids. Jamie is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kathy Ryna Viars Wilburn; his kids, Jamie Charles Wilburn, Bryan Bledsoe and Roger Jewett all of Grayson; Amy (Dennis) Thevenin of Grayson and Melissa Smith of Meredith, NH; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Wilburn and Nancy Root of Grayson, Doye (Ralph) Felty of Oldtown; and many friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Malone Funeral Home with Denver Prater and Josh Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Hannah Cemetery.
