Karen Lou Stephens

Karen Lou Terry Stephens, 75, of Dayton Ohio, passed away on April 4, 2017 at the Hospice of Dayton Ohio.
Karen was born in Grayson KY on March 12. She graduated from Prichard High School and continued on to receive a Registered Nursing Degree from Sinclair Community College while raising three children.
Karen was married to Nick Stephens on September 28 and they were married 56 years. She worked as an RN for over 25 years at Grandview and Southview Hospitals in the neonatal unit and never lost a baby in all those years. Karen enjoyed listening to gospel music, cooking for family, sewing quilts, and collecting Santa Claus figures.
Karen is survived by her husband, Nick, children Terri Lanese and Lisa Stephens (Robert), grandchildren Seth, Samantha, Nick, Stephen, and Joe, great-grandchild Calliope – all of Dayton Ohio and brother Ernie Terry, sisters Nancy Terry and Zane (Randy) Criswell – of Grayson KY, and other family and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her son Mark Stephens, her parents John Russell and Lulu Belle Nipp Terry, grandparents Arche and Betty Everman Nipp, and nephew David Clay Criswell. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Grayson Memorial Burial Park. Pastor Musial Pearson will be officiating.
