Mrs. Jackson cooked at Willard Elementary School when I was there in the 60's. Mrs. Mullins was there too and I never made the family connection until I read Mrs.Jackson's tribute. The meals were wonderful and she was always so sweet and kind to everyone. I know you all will miss her terribly but she certainly touched a lot of lives in the many years she lived. Love and prayers to all of you.

I will always remember Aunt Mearl as a loving and kind lady. She always had good things to say and she never spoke ill of anyone. I can remember as a teenager playing basketball at her son Lowell's house and if she seen use playing she would always come over to the basketball court and remind all of us playing to be sure and drink lots of fluids. And in her job as a cook for the school system she was loved by all the students in the school. I'm going to miss her smile and I know she with uncle Junior and he and she are looking down on their family and smiling because they raised 3 wonderful sons and the rest of the family as they came along were welcomed with open arms and love. I'm praying you all. May God bless and keep you all during this time of sorrow and hold you in his everlasting arms. Live you all.

Mearl was a wonderful lady and I am blessed to have been able to care for her the past 6 years. My coworkers and I will miss her tremendously. She touched alot of hearts and her fun spirit will definitely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who loved her as much as we did.
