Nancy Lee Hall

Nancy Lee Adkins Hall "Mickey" of Grayson was born March 25th, 1937 on Evermanns creek, KY. She was the daughter of the late Emma and Ballard Adkins. 

Nancy married the love of her life, Earl W. Hall 1953. They have 4 sons Danny (Sue) Hall, Greg Hall, Aaron Hall all of Grayson and Shawnee Hall of Ashland. Nancy and Earl enjoyed 52 wonderful years of marriage, before he preceded her in death, in 2006. 

A consummate wife, mother, and homemaker, Nancy loved to spend her time with family and friends. Nancy enjoyed long summer days sitting on the porch and was often found walking around the block, making sure to stay in shape. Of everything, her favorite thing to do was going to Smith Creek Church, and listening to the Smith Creek Boys sing. 

Resiliency had definitely been one of Nancy’s strong suits. In 2012 she was diagnosed with breast cancer which she took in stride.  "I'm not a quitter" was something that she said often, and she meant it. In 2013 Nancy was declared a breast cancer survivor. 

Throughout her last several years, Nancy kept her unwavering faith, a positive attitude, and a smile on her face. Nancy entered heavens gates on April 5, 2017. 

Including her 4 sons Nancy is survived by 9 grandchildren; Catausha Messer, Willy Hall, Penny Woods, Shannon Hall, Adam Hall, Catherine Burkes, Tracy Hall, and Hannah Hall; 11 great- grandchildren; and a brother Benjamin Adkins, of Grayson, along with several nieces and nephews, 4 sister in- laws, Ercil Adkins, Geraldine Murphy, Betty Leroy, Sandy Adkins; and a brother in -law Gene Hall. 

Including her husband and parents Nancy was preceded in death by 1 brother, Ballard JR. Adkins; a sister Lillian Castle; and a great- grandchild; Jakob Messer. 

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday April 9th 2017 at the Malone Funeral home in Grayson with Bro. Eddie Porter and Bro. Gary Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-9 PM Saturday and after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
