I am sorry for your loss of dear Phyllis. She was a wonderful, kind lady who helped me when I called the church one day in hopes of finding John and Arilla Belle Crossen's graves. Phyllis told me that yes, the Crossen's were buried in the church cemetery. She was so sweet and I wish I could have met her. Mary Jane Heberer

Vickie and I would like to let you know that we are thinking about your great family and send our prayers of both comfort and celebration of the homecoming that she has received from the Heavenly Father in Heaven.. Although we did not spend a lot of time with Phyllis when we did we were made to feel special. She was a very special and kind person. Jess and Phyllis were there for us when Mom died and it meant a lot. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless, keep, and comfort you. Morris & Vickie Owen

Jesse,
You probably don''t remember me but when I was about 20 years old and considering the Kentucky State Police as a career, my father in law, John Depriest, and I came to see you. At that time I wondered if there was any conflict in becoming a Trooper and also being a Christian. You spent several hours of your time with me that day and told me "your story" about your life, your family, and your career! I was amazed to say the least and left that day knowing that I could be a Trooper and a Christian at the same time. You impressed me as a man of faith as did your son in law Steve, when I later had the privilege of getting to know him as well. Now about 35 years since that day, I have since joined and retired from the KSP! Thank you for your service to KSP, and your time on that day, I will never forget it. I am truly sorry for your loss. As we have all heard, behind every good man, is an even better women! Thank you and may God continue to bless and use you. Tim Lucas

She was a true "hero of the faith" and the kindness of women. She's relocated, and one day we will get to see her again.
Prayers, love, and a mess of hugs from the Waid (Thompson) family.

I have know the Fyffes the whole of my life. They are folks of the finest kind. Sister Phyllis is truly a servant of our Lord. There was never a job that was below her or a challenge that was too much for her. She had a great sense of humor and a big heart. And she could cook, Lord have mercy! If you left her house hungry, that was your own fault! I don't understand why she had to have Alzheimer's or why her family had to suffer as they watched her slip away. But one thing I do know for sure, she is in Heaven in the presence of the Most High at this very moment. And I'm gonna see her again some day. So grateful to have known her on this side of the river.
