Willie Elliott

Willie Elliott, 93, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Friday April 14, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Willie was born August 12, 1923 in Grayson, KY a son of the late John and Mary Susan Elliott. Including his parents Willie was preceded in death by eleven brothers; two sisters; and a son in-law, Robert Jackson.
Willie was an accomplished guitar player, once having the opportunity to go play for the Grand Ole Opry. Willie worked for C & O Railroad, a night watchman for McGuire’s, and as an electric repair technician as a hobby who always refused pay for his services, a carpenter and enjoyed drawing.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sarah A. Holbrook Elliott; three sons, Glen R. Elliott, John Dean Elliott and Charles Ray Elliott all of Grayson; three daughters, Teresa Sue (Terry) Jackson of Grayson, Donna Jackson of Greenup, and Judy Ann (Sam) Barker of Rush; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday April 18, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Aaron Lambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Ison cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the service hour. Condolences may be sent to the Elliott Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
