Carl Edward Berry

Carl Edward Berry, 81, of Rush went to be with his Lord Monday October 12, 2020 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Carl was born November 17, 1938 in Rush, KY a son of the late, Frank E. Berry and Essie Marie Sparks Berry-Young. In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years in 2014, Mary Alice Felty Berry; a granddaughter whom he raised as his own daughter, Sarah Beth Hesson and a brother, Bobby Lee Fields.
Carl worked at AC Lawrence Leathers for over 35 years, and later went on to work at Wal-Mart, Smithfield and retired from Farmer’s Hardware. Carl was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Carl loved to feed his deer and humming birds, and was an avid squirrel hunter.
Carl is survived by two daughters, Mary Kay Adkins, Beverly (Charles) Stephens both of Rush; two sons, Carl (Terri) Berry and John Wayne Berry of Rush; seven grandchildren, Jason Adkins, Amanda Berry, Dale Berry, Brett Berry, Brandon Berry, Kendra Berry-Crone and Alexis Berry; six great-grandchildren, Haleigh Adkins, Dean Adkins, Mia Hope Adkins, Isaiah Berry, Hannah Berry and Elizabeth Faith Crone; two sisters, Mary Jane Thornberry of Lavalette, WV and Helen Jean Fannin of Rush; a brother, Roscoe Young, Jr. of Rush; a special niece, Paulette Campbell and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday October 17, 2020 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey King and Bro. Rick Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in the Felty-Thomas Cemetery.
