.Albert Sergent, 88 of Grayson went to be with his Lord. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Albert was born February 16, 1933 in Rush, KY, a son of the late Dexter and Jessie Fannin Sergent. Albert retired from Ashland Oil Inc. (Marathon) after 38 years service as #1 Operator of the Old FCC Unit. He recently accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was of the Baptist Faith. Albert served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Danese Lawson. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ida Nolty Sergent, daughter, Lillian Gwen Sergent of Grayson, two sisters, Wilma McCall of Grayson and Glenna (Ike) Rigsby of Rush, KY, five brothers, Dexter Sergent of Oxnard, CA, Eugene (Sharon) Sergent of Shelby Township, MI, Charles (Joan) Sergent of Mt. Sterling, KY, Jack Sergent and Danny (Patti) Sergent both of Grayson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Lowell Elliott, minister. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Malone Funeral Home. Burial will full Army military honors will be at East Carter County Memory Gardens. Serving as pallberarers will be, Tim McCall, Travis McCall, Derrick McCall, Brent Sergent, Jack Sergent and Danny Sergent.
