Alice Marie Burton

Alice Marie Stidham Burton, 71, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Alice was born May 10, 1950 in Ashland, KY a daughter of the late, Harry and Dova Mae Frasher Stidham. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Taylor Burton in 2015; a brother, Jack Stidham; three sisters, Mary Francis Johnson, Anita Endicott and Shirley Griffith; and her mother and father in-laws, James Franklin and Dorothy Shepherd Burton.
Alice graduated from Prichard High School in 1968. Alice went on to graduate from cosmetology school and having worked at several beauty shops in Grayson. Alice was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Alice enjoyed watching westerns and traveling with her family to Myrtle Beach.
Alice is survived by her son, James Taylor Burton of Grayson; three sisters, Callie Jarvis and Wanda (Ron) Bauer both of Mansfield, Ohio and Ruth (Larry) Flannery of Grayson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who all mourn her passing.
A celebration of life service will be 2 pm September 11, 2021 at the Malone Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
