Anna Laura Bush

Anna Laura Bush, 85, of Big Lost Creek in Greenup County went to be with her Lord, her husband Jack, and son Mike who were all waiting for her in Heaven, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Anna was born April 11, 1937 in Hopewell, KY a daughter of the late, Lovell E. and Lula Smith Bush.  In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years in 2016, Jack Wilburn Bush; a son, Curtis Michael “Mike” Bush; a son-in-law, Johnny Greene; three brothers, Elmer Bush, Johnny Bush, and Elton Bush; and two sisters, Darlene Criswell and Thelma Riffe.

Anna attended Antioch Christian Church in Greenup.  Anna graduated from Wurtland High School.  After high school, she worked several jobs including, Western Auto, Tots and Teens, a roller skate waitress and driving a feeder bus for the Greenup County School System.  Anna was a life-long farmer, and loved spending time with her precious family. 

Anna is survived by a son, Cavel Wilburn (Elaine) Bush of Grayson, two daughters, Jackie Ann (Kevin) Campbell , and Angelia J. Greene; a daughter-in-law, Doretha Horsley Bush all of Greenup; four grandchildren, Britt (Caren) Bush, Myka (Matt) Grayson, Joshua (Cortnea) Greene and Kayla (George) Hall; four great-grandchildren, Kristy Greene, Landon Greene, Ella Joy Bush and Audrey Jane Bush;  her jack russell fur baby, “Izek”; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.

Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the East Carter County Memory Gardens with her grandson, Britt Bush officiating.  Condolences may be sent to the Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
