Barbara Gail Caudill

Barbara Gail Caudill, 66 of Ashland went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2018 and what a birthday celebration it was to be in the arms of Jesus. She was born April 7, 1952 in Ashland KY, a daughter of the late Billy Joe and Patricia Burton Adams, but reared by the precious Phyllis Kretzer and the late Everett Kretzer. Barbara was of Christian faith. Barbara was an extraordinary woman who saw beauty in everything, from the back yard garden she raised with her husband to her beloved farm which she adored, naming it Shalom Acres. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as sitting on the porch of the camp listing to Whip-poor-wills with Charlie, her Nanae talks with her grandchildren about guarding their hearts, traveling with her daughter. She received her dream of visiting Alaska on many occasions with her sister Robyn. She thought literally it was heaven on earth. Her survivors include her husband of 40 years Donald Caudill of Ashland; one daughter, Karissa (Charlie) Caudill-Rice of Ashland; one sister Robyn Duncan of Savannah GA; one brother, Paul (Susan) Kretzer of Somerset KY; three grandchildren, Danae Dixon, C.J. Dixon and Kingston Rice
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Delmar Rogers, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
