Belva Lockwood Mullins Cartwright, 86, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Tuesday March 5, 2019 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Belva was born July 3, 1932 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Roy and Ada Bell Marcum Mullins. In addition to her parents Belva was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years in 1973, Walter Cartwright; a daughter, Lottie Jewell Wages; a grandson, Anthony Wages; two great-grandsons; and two brothers, Roy “Buster” Mullins, Jr. and Jimmie F Mullins.
Belva was a Christian and enjoyed visiting many local churches. Belva worked many different jobs in the Grayson area, but most importantly was a Mother, Mamaw and homemaker.
Belva is survived by a son, Jackie (Teresa)Cartwright of Denton; two daughters, Vicki (J.T.) Berry of Denton and Christine (Frank) Hale of Grayson; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ida Belle Leadingham of Olive Hill, Clara Belle Clark of Grahn, Peggy Cochran of Olive Hill and Janet Heaberlin of Fl.; and many nieces, nephews and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday March 10th, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Steve Keyes officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooksey Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Saturday and after 12 noon Sunday until the service hour all at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the Cartwright Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
