Bessie Marie Cains

Bessie Marie Waugh Cains, 86, of Denton went to be with her Lord Sunday May 22, 2022 at her daughter’s residence. Bessie was born December 24, 1935 in Wilkerson, WV a daughter of the late George Estle and Augusta Lucas Waugh. In addition to her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years in 2018, Walter Woodrow Cains; a son, Timothy Milton Cains; and a brother, Estle June Waugh.
Bessie was a long-time member of Denton Missionary Baptist Church. Bessie enjoyed gardening and going to flea markets. Bessie loved spending time with her precious grand and great-grandchildren.
Bessie is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Bill) Neice of Denton; a son, Ted (Wanda) Cains of Grayson; a daughter in-law, Debbie Faye Cains of Denton; five grandchildren, Angie (Brenden) Simmons, Jessica (Billy) St. Clair, Lacy (Jennifer) Neice, Steven Neice and Sammual Beair; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Davis, Ayla Neice, Katie Neice and Annaleigh Simmons; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
