Bobby Joe Middleton

Bobby Joe Middleton, 87 of Rush, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Bob was born October 25, 1934 in Boyd County, KY a son of the late James David Middleton and Hattie Charles Middleton. He was retired electrician from Kentucky Electric Steel and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allison Thomas, brothers, Carl Middleton, Charles Middleton, Ray Middleton and Homer Middleton, sisters, Rosie Slone, Opal Barber, Ola Blankenship and Olive Smith. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Davis Middleton, son, Harold (Samantha) Middleton of Rush, daughters, Robin (Richard) Thomas and Cheryl (Steve) Harris both of Rush, sister, Delores Hester of Ashland, grandchildren, Tyler Leibee, Kristie (Brandon) Gollihue, Devin (Whitney) Thomas, Isaac McIntosh and Jaden Pietrus, special nephew, Charlie Conley.
Funeral services will be Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Brother Fred Wiles, minister. Burial will be in the Davis Family Cemetery.
