Bueford “Boots” Stidham, 82 of Grayson died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his residence following a sudden illness. Boots was born March 25, 1939 in Hitchins a son of the late Haskell and Elsie Kouns Stidham. Boots retired from AK Steel, was owner and operator of Stidham’s Auto Sales, member of Grayson Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. #145, El Hasa Shrine Temple, former Grayson City Councilman and a member of Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church. Boots was a Bluegrass music fan, avid farmer, loyal friend and the very best grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends both in Kentucky and Florida. He loved laughter and especially a good joke and a catchy tune. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Stidham, daughter, Lori Saunders and a sister Yvonne Justice. He is survived by his wife Justine “Tina” Stidham, one son, Marty (Carlene) Stidham of Grayson, two sisters, Donna (Jim) Huddle of Grayson and Patsy Moore of Ashland; six grandchildren, Whitney (Joel) Stidham, Shelby Stidham, Tanner (Kelli) Stidham, Cade (Autumn) Stidham, Sutton Saunders and Gavin Saunders, three great-grandchildren, Sadie J. Klepch, Violet Stidham and Stella Stidham.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, 3:00 p.m. at Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church with Musial Pearson, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens with masonic rites done by Grayson Trimble Lodge F.&A.M. 145..
