Carl Edward Spaulding

Carl Edward Spaulding, 85, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his residence. Carl was born April 18, 1937 in New Richmond, OH a son of the late Willis H. and Alta Benjamin Spaulding. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife of 54 years, Frances Clifton Spaulding on May 16, 2018; two brothers, Willis and Donald Spaulding; a sister, Mary Heimbold; and a sister in-law, Loretta Greene Clifton. Carl was a member of the First Church of Christ in Grayson, and previously attended Greenup Church of Christ and Lower Grassy Church of Christ. Carl was a US Army veteran having served his country honorably. Carl worked as a pre-need counselor for over 40 years at Malone Funeral Home, Steen Funeral Homes and Ashland Cemetery combined. Carl was known for his contagious smile and inviting personality. Carl is survived by several nieces and nephews who were all like his children; his favorite stepson, Lew Napier; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing. Services will be 12 noon Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Ben James officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery with military honors.
