Carolyn Shaffer

Carolyn Sue Shaffer, 80 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her residence. She was born July 6, 1940 in Rogers, Arkansas a daughter of the late Carl H. and Ruth Belle Roberts Morriss. Carolyn was a homemaker and served her country in the U.S. Marine Corps. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Shaffer. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” Shaffer of Grayson; two sons, Mike (Darlene) Shaffer of Grayson and Greg (Donita) Shaffer of Hitchins; one daughter, Robin (Dale) Rodgers of Grayson; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Mike Burnett, minister. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hills Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Family request that donations be made to Carter County Quilts For Veterans, P.O. Box 395, Grayson, KY 41143.
