Debra “Debbie” Carter Peffer, 63, of Grayson went to be with her Lord, Wednesday November 28, 2018 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Debbie was born February 24, 1955 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Curtis and Deane Felty Carter. In addition to her parents Debbie was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Carter Campbell; and a cousin who was like a brother, Michael Seidling.
Debbie was a member of the Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church, where she loved to volunteer and work with the youth. Debbie worked as a teacher’s aide at Carter Christian Academy. Debbie enjoyed quilting and crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Elwood Peffer; two sons, Michael (Tena) Peffer and Curtis Joe (Colleen) Peffer; a grandson, James Michael Carter Peffer; a sister, Joanna (Vernal) Blevins all of Grayson; and several nieces, nephews and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral Services will be 12 noon Saturday December 1st, 2018 at the Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church in Grayson with Musial Pearson and Gerald Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Friday at the Malone Funeral Home and after 10 am Saturday at the church until the service hour.
