Bro. Denver Ray McGranahan, 77, of Denton went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Bro. McGranahan was born August 24, 1940 in Lawrence County, KY a son of the late George and Ludie Mercer McGranahan. He was currently minister at Chapel Cut Methodist Church in Hitchins and a former construction worker. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ed, Jim, Bill, Claude and Jack McGranahan; two sisters, Betty Jo Withrow and Nevelyn Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Horton McGranahan; three sons, Ronnie McGranahan of Stinson, Tony McGranahan of Denton and Ben (Kayla) McGranahan of Denton; one daughter, Diane (Wesley) Kitchen of Stinson; one sister, Flossie Bayes of Ashland; two brothers, Charles (Tina) McGranahan of Fallsburg KY and Woodrow (Joyce) McGranahan of Hitchins; four grandchildren, Bethany (Tony) Webb, Ryan, Aaron and Addison McGranahan; one great-grandchild, Montana Webb.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro.Richard Tackett, minister. Burial will be in the McGranahan Family Cemetery in Hitchins. Friends may call Tuesday 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
