Donald Ray Mullins, 79, of Denton passed away Tuesday July 3, 2018 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Donald was born November 19, 1938 a son of the late Wayne and Gladys Miller Mullins. In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Mullins in 2013; two sisters, Betty Spillman and Nadine Fleming; and a brother, Ora Jean Mullins.
Donald retired from The Portsmouth News Agency after 45 years, had a strong work ethic, enjoyed his pet cats, and was known for being a man of his word.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Imogene Hall Mullins; a son, Jamie (Tammy Smith) Mullins of Denton, a daughter; Leigh Ann (Gregory Thomas) Mullins, and a grandson; Shane Scott Rose both of Grayson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Malone Funeral Home by Tim Hall. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
