Earl Edward Tackett

Earl “Ed” Edward Tackett 81, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Ed was born November 18, 1937 in Johnson County, KY a son of the late George Dewey and Mary Cantrell Tackett. He was a retired truck driver and former Carter County deputy jailer. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Jayne; three sisters, Jean Hanshaw, Georgene Hughes and Deanna Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Sue Adkins Tackett; three sons, Stacey Tackett and David (Carrie) Tackett both of Grayson, Joshua (Ashley) Tackett of Lexington; two daughters, Dana (Tim) Herald and Morgan Tackett both of Grayson KY; six grandchildren, Jonathan Herald, Audrey Tackett, Sarah Tackett, Harley Justice, Zim Tackett and Hayden Lehman.
Services will be Monday 2:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Tom Riffe, minister. Burial with full military rites will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
