Earnest Raymond Evans

Earnest Raymond Evans, 62, of Greenup County went to be with his Lord, Tuesday August 2, 2022 at his residence. Earnest was born July 23, 1960 in Greenup County, KY a son of the late, Egbert Sr. and Lavonna June Freize Evans. In addition to his parents, Earnest was preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Riffe.
Earnest had a strong work ethic having worked over 31 years at Marathon, as a Laborer with the Laborers Local 1445. Earnest loved his grandchildren with all his heart, he loved giving them popsicles and taking them on a ride on his four wheeler.
Earnest is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Vitina Evans; two daughters, Jessica (Sean) Christman and Alyssa Grace Evans; a son, Levi Evans aka “Moe” of all of Greenup; five grandchildren, Axel Christman, Diesel Christman, Lorelei Christman, Magnolia Christman, and Avonlea Christman; four sisters, Joan (Phillip) Carroll, Cheryl (Nick) Carroll both of Mansfield, OH, Reva (Mike) Conley and Debbie (John) Lybrook both of Greenup; two brothers, Egbert “Bub” Evans, Jr. and Joe (Pam) Evans both of Greenup; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday August 5, 2022 at the Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor John Lybrook and Pastor T.A. Votaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Pierce Cemetery on Crane Creek. Visitation will be 11 am Friday at the church until the service hour. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
