Edgar Eugene Flury

Edgar “Ed” Eugene Flury, 90, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Thursday June 22, 2017 at the Carter Nursing and Rehab Center. Ed was born November 8, 1926 in Council Bluffs, Iowa a son of the late Patrick Cleveland and Marie Christenson Flury. Including his parents Ed was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Flury, Richard Flury and Patrick Flury; and a sister Arlene Miller.
Ed was of the Baptist Faith and was a master carpenter. Ed was an US Army veteran during WW II. Ed always had a smile on his face and was known for his loving contagious personality.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mildred Blanche Carroll Maggard Flury; two sons, Richard William Flury of California and Larry Dean Flury of Grayson; a daughter, Gloria Marie Bagwell of Arizona; two step-children, Glena Maggard of Sandy Hook and Sharon (J.A.) Blevins of Lexington; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Mickey King officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
