Evelyn Darlene Mayo Wilburn

Evelyn Darlene Mayo Wilburn, 84 of Grayson went to be with her Lord Wednesday February 20, 2019 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Evelyn was born July 30, 1934 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late John Tyler and Tennessee Barker Mayo. In addition to her parents Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Golden Wilburn in 2012; four brothers, Otha Mayo, Raymond Mayo, Carl Mayo and Charles Mayo; and four sisters, Bessie Stephens, Violet Sullivan, Jessie Mayo and Stella Messer.
Evelyn was Christian who loved reading her Bible. Evelyn enjoyed working in her flower garden, feeding birds and cooking for her family.
Evelyn is survived by two sons, John and Greg Wilburn both of Carter City; four daughters Linda and husband Ray McGlone of Carter City, Juanita and husband Richard Elswick of Carter City, Patricia and husband Cecil Davis of Denton and Elaine and husband Brian Howard of Nicholasville KY; 10 grandchildren and 5great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday February 24, 2019 at the Boone-Grassy Cemetery by Bobby Burge. Visitation will be from 12 noon Sunday until 2 pm the time of procession at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Condolences may be sent to the Wilburn family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
