Everett W Kretzer

Everett W. Kretzer, 87, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Carter Nursing and Rehab in Grayson. Everett was born May 10, 1930 in VanLear, KY a son of the late Lewis and Nora Rogers Kretzer. He retired from AK Steel in Ashland with over 40 years service, served his country proudly in the US Army, taught Sunday school in several churches’ for over 50 years and attended lately Johns Run Community Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Jean Adams Kretzer; two brothers, Fred and Elmer Kretzer; two sisters, Opal Barber and Bertha Kouns. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Gollihue; one son, Paul Everett and wife Susan Kretzer of Somerset KY; one daughter, Barbara and husband Don Caudill of Ashland; two grandchildren, Michelle Kretzer and Karissa Caudill-Rice and husband Charles; three great-grandchildren, Danae, C.J. and Kingston.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Delmar Rogers, minister. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday till service. Family suggests contributions to: Johns Run Community Church, 1596 Huffs Run, Grayson KY 41143.
