Franklin D Cole

Franklin Delano Cole, 87, of Catlettsburg went to be with his Lord Monday December 13, 2021 at the Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland. Frank was born December 21, 1933 in Catlettsburg, KY a son of the late, Tolbert and Laura Hensley Cole. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Sparks Cole; three sisters, Eleanor Clay, Phyllis Cole, and Evelyn Ratliff; and three brothers, Everett Cole, Donald Cole and James Cole. Frank was an owner/operator of Henthorns Dry Cleaners in Ironton. Frank was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where he served as Deacon and was on the Board of Trustees. Frank was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Ironton.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Pamela (John) Cole-Bayliss and Deborah Ann Cole both of Ironton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Christopher (Keri) Jordan and Marissa (Keith) Wheatley; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kailey, Jasmine, Zachary, Cayden, Chloe, Alexis and Bryson; a brother, Charles (Janice) Cole of Montgomery, AL; a special friend, Jim England; and a host of extended family who all mourn his passing. A memorial service will be 1 pm Thursday December 30, 2021 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Ashland with Rev. John W. Carwell officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon Thursday until the service hour at the church. Malone Funeral Home in Grayson are entrusted with arrangements.
