Garry Brandon Yates

Garry Brandon Yates, 34 of Ashland went to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence. Garry was born November 27, 1984 in Ashland a son of Garry Yates of Grayson and Robin Cooper Craig of Ashland. He was a member of Laborers Local #189 in Lexington and United Steelworkers local #7054. He graduated from Fairview High School, attended ACTC and Morehead State University getting a degree in general studies and a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Leona Boggs Cooper and the late Larry N. Cooper, Paternal grandmother, Catherine Yates Thomas and the late Ray Thomas; aunt, Jean (Johnny) Fields; cousins, Whitney Windell and Jerry Dale Yates; uncles, Zane Bush and Donnie Thomas; and his dogs who he truly loved, Bo, Zoey and Izzie.
Services will be conducted Thursday 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Harris, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
