Gay Holbrook Marshall Flaugher, 83, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Saturday June 22, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Gay was born November 7, 1935 in Willard, KY a daughter of the late Lev and Belva Stamper Holbrook. In addition to her parents, Gay was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Todd Marshall in 1973; her second husband, Scott Flaugher in 1999; and her sister, Louise Carroll.
Gay loved the Lord and attended Second Freewill Baptist Church and Pactolus United Methodist Church. Gay worked as a caregiver and volunteered at Carter Nursing and Rehab. Gay enjoyed playing bingo, working puzzles and most of all spending time with her precious family.
Gay is survived by three sons, Tony (Shelia) Marshall, Bradley (Mary) Marshall both of Grayson and Glen (Terrie) Allen Marshall of New Castle, Indiana; two daughters, Beverly (Tracy) Dickerson of Grayson and Jessica (Bob Kitchen) Evans of Willard; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delmas “Deb” Holbrook of Grayson and Randall “Buddy” Holbrook of Sandy Hook; Her best friend who was like a sister, Wilma Bailey; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday June 27, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Ron Johnson and Tom Riffe officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Wednesday and after 9 am Thursday until the service hour all at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Mike Marshall, Brandon Marshall, Derrick Yates, Jacob Marshall, Adrian Marshall, Jason Marshall and Dalton Evans.
