George “Ronnie” Boggs, 71 of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic. George was born February 13, 1948 in Hitchins, KY, a son of Jewell Hay Boggs of Grayson and the late John “Blackie” Boggs. He currently was a minister at Grace Bible Church and retired from the Kentucky State Police. George was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War era. He was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Boggs and one sister, Joyce Cains. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Carolyn Everman Boggs; one son, George Boggs, Jr. of Huntington WV; one daughter, Rhonda (Tom) Stricklen of Milton WV; one sister, Carolyn Kay Boggs of Grayson; three brothers, Billy Joe (Joyce) Boggs of Willard, Marvin (Marsha) Boggs of Grayson and Timmy (Judy) Boggs of Covington KY; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Tom Keelin, minister. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, with full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home. Family request that memorials be sent to Gideons International.
