Gladys Marie Wilburn

Gladys Marie Mayo Wilburn, 87, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Sunday January 9, 2022 at the Carter Nursing and Rehab in Grayson. Gladys was born March 20, 1934 a daughter of the late, James Watt and Hattie McDowell Pope. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Mayo; her second husband, Charles Wilburn; a daughter, Brenda Conn; two sisters, Lorraine Weller and Myrtle Wilburn; two brothers, Hobie Pope and Robert Pope; and a son in-law, John W. Conn. Gladys was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Gladys is survived by a daughter, Donna (Phillip) Cox of Grayson; two grandchildren, Amy Conn and Jessica Gilbert; two great-grandchildren; eight step-children, Carl, Charlie, Gail, Robin, and Sam Wilburn and David and Doris Phillip; twelve step grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Faye Harlow, Mary Carper, Christine Boland and Donna Utley; three brothers, Charles Pope, Donald Pope and Gary Pope; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Everman Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.
