Hazel Marie Harlow

Hazel Marie Colley Harlow, 98, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Tuesday November 30, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born August 4, 1923 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Belle Kibbey Colley. In addition to her parents Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, David S. Harlow, Sr.; two sons, David S. Harlow, Jr and Douglas Harlow.; three great-grandchildren, Steven Gremling, Mariah Ann Hall and Devin Sickle; seven sisters, Laura Prichard, Debbie Burton, Delphia McDavid, Edith Colley, Maggie Colley, Pauline Colley and Rosa Carper; five brothers, Fraze, Norman, Otto, Wesley and Lawrence Colley. Hazel was a member of the Everman’s Creek Baptist Church. Hazel was a homemaker and tobacco farmer. Hazel enjoyed canning and cooking food for her precious family. Hazel is survived by four daughters, Mary Ellen (Art) Jordan of Webbville, Martha M. Harlow, Laurel (David) Jordan and Joyce (Jack) Hall all of Grayson; a son, Robert Harlow of Rush; brother, David Colley of Dillsboro, IN; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver and friend; Evelyn Erwin. Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday December 6, 2021 at the Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Joed Rice, Bro. Thomas Arnold and Bro. Lucas Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Kiser-McGinnis Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday until the service hour. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
