Helen Virginia Jarvis Haugen

Helen Virginia Jarvis Haugen, 88 of Iron Hill, KY, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Helen was born February 8, 1931 at Iron Hill, KY a daughter of the late Joe and Ona Tomlin Burge. She worked at Armco Steel in the vending department and was a member of D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Austin Jarvis and her second husband, Curtis Haugen; two daughters, Freida Kaye Jarvis and Betty Ann Jarvis; five brothers, Clifford Burge, Kenneth “Nick” Burge, John Burge, Harry Burge and Mason Burge; two sisters, Maggie Bellew and Charlene Burge. She is survived by a niece who was her primary caretaker, Glenda Bivens of Garrison, KY; one sister, Glenna Burge Saunders of Iron Hill, KY; two brothers, Harold Burge of Iron Hill and Arthur (Jeannie) Burge of Grayson; one stepdaughter, Vickie Soto of Victorville CA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Burnette, minister. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 6:00 -9:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Condolences and memories can be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com.
