Homer “Wimpy” Johnson, Jr., 61, of Grayson went to be with his Lord, Thursday November 16, 2023 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Wimpy was born December 5, 1961 in Columbus, OH a son of the late, Homer Sr. and Thelma Elizabeth Seagraves Johnson. In addition to his parents, Wimpy was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Cordella Gump, Sylvia Loucille Stambaugh and Julia Joyce Pennington; two brothers, Roy Morrison Hays and Curtis Elmer Johnson; and a special niece, Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Hall and her husband, Randy Hall. Wimpy was known for his caring and contagious personality. Wimpy loved to eat hamburgers, hence the nickname from a popular Popeye character; and watching anything with his favorite American martial artist and actor Chuck Norris; especially Walker Texas Ranger. Wimpy is survived by a special nieces and nephew, who were also his caretakers, Barbie (Matt Kittles) Pennington, Nancy (Pierre) Pennington and Jimmy (Malinda) Pennington; a great-nephew, Logan (Stephanie) Hall; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday November 25, 2023 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Delmar Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
