Jack Ross Newman

Jack Ross Newman, 69, of Lucasville, Ohio went to be with his Lord Friday, August 23, 2019 at the S.O.M.C. in Portsmouth, Ohio. Jack was born September 5, 1949 in Grayson, KY a son of the late Raymond, 93, and Gladys Whitt Newman, 85. Including his parents Jack was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Ethan Craft, 5.
Jack served his country honorably in the United States Army as a field artillery specialist, and was a Vietnam combat veteran. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union for over 20 years. Subsequently, he worked extensively in the automotive repair field.
Jack is survived by his wife, a sister, 6 kids, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved oldies and country music. He was very involved in coaching baseball and home and car projects.
Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Tuesday August 27, 2019 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Pastor Mike Lanning officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East with military honors. Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the service hour at the funeral home.
