James Cline Davis

James Cline “Jimmy” Davis, 65, of Hitchins, went to be with his Lord Wednesday February 3, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Jimmy was born December 15, 1955 in Ashland, KY a son of Deloris Evans and the late Garrett Clinton Davis. In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cline and Virgie Davis; maternal grandparents, John and Maggie Evans; and a brother, John Clinton Davis. Jimmy was a roofer having worked for Raymond Jackson and Sparks Roofing. Jimmy loved to be outdoors fishing. Including his mother, Jimmy is survived by his loving companion, Donna Jean Sparks Barker; his children, Regina (Rick) Stevens of Olive Hill; Gus Barker, Jr. and Franklin Lee Barker both of Grayson; five grandchildren, Derek, Jordan, Sierra, Franklin III and Hunter; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Tony) Knipp of Grayson; two brothers, Garrett Franklin ( Judy) Davis and Michael (Deanna) Davis both of Denton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family who all mourn his passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Monday February 8, 2021 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Keith Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
