James Allen Prince Sr.

James Allen Prince, Sr. (Jamie) 49 years young, of Grayson passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at his home. Jamie was born August 13, 1973 in Ashland Ky, the 9th child and youngest son of Edward Ray Sr and Mable Conley Prince. Jamie was preceded in death by his sister Ramona Martin. Jamie is survived by his three sons, James Allen Prince, Jr. (Jay), Cody James Prince both of Grayson, and Jacob Elijah Prince of Worthington; a daughter, Breanna Renee Prince of Greenup; two grandchildren, Kaylee Prince and Kenzie Prince; seven sisters, Beverly Johnson of Centreville, VA, Sandra Bernard of Mascoutah, IL, Linda Varney, Lisa Caskey, Billie Mulkey, Carolyn Fleming, and Bobbie Sewell all of Grayson; a bother, Edward Ray Prince, Jr. of Grayson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jamie was a good brother and a friend to many. He loved his family, and was deeply loved in return. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed making jokes, and giving everyone a hard time. He had a wonderful smile and a great laugh. He liked being outside, fishing and four wheeling. He loved junk food and sweets. He made a mean bologna sandwich and good bread pizza. He liked rock music. He worked for A and B Fire Services, with his oldest son. He was a good antenna turner and gave good directions on how to turn the antenna. He had many talents in fact, too many to list. I always thought he had really good taste and I looked up to him, for there was no one like him. He struggled much in life, sometimes quietly, sometimes not, but now he is free and at peace. He will be laid to rest next to his dear sister, at Kemper Cemetery, in Grayson, Ky. Thank you so much to the Martin family. It means so much to be able to have them next to each other in death as they were in life. Funeral service will be 1 pm Tuesday September 20, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will follow in the Kemper Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the service hour.
