Dr Jamie Rachelle Coates

Dr. Jamie Rachelle Coates, 52, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Saturday February 20, 2021 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Jamie was born October 26, 1968 in Bedford, IN a daughter of James Darrell and Reba Davis Coates. Jamie graduated with a bachelor in Worship from KCU. Jamie later received a Master’s degree from Kent State University and Doctorate of Worship Studies at Liberty University. Jamie was currently employed as an Assistant Professor of Worship at KCU, Director of KCU worship Collective at KCU and taught online courses with Liberty University. Jamie was the worship leader at Bridges Christian Church in Russell for over 18 years; and before that, served at Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth, OH for several years. Including her parents Jamie is survived by a sister, Julia Marie (Brendon) Marting of Dayton, OH; and many friends and colleagues who all mourn her passing. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday February 24, 2021 at the KCU Chapel with Bro. Greg Bondurant and Bro. Monty Cooper. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
