Janice Sweeney

Janice Lou Glancy Sweeney, 75, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Monday, June 5, 2017. Janice was born May 10, 1942 in Carter County, KY a daughter of the late Clement and Cora Belle Campbell Glancy. Including her parents Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years, Corbit Lee Sweeney; two sisters, Evelyn Branham and Charlotte Boggs; a niece, Gerry Lynn Mullins; and two nephews, Scott Branham and Markus Blake McDavid.
Janice was of the Baptist faith attending Johns Run Tabernacle; enjoyed quilting; and loved being outdoors mowing, weedeating, working in her flower beds and raising tomatoes.
Janice is survived by three sisters, Sheila (Bill) McCoy of Grayson, Judy (Junior) Carroll of Hitchins and Yvonna (Jerry) Mullins of Grayson; a special great -niece, Addison Carroll of Hitchins; a brother in-law, James Boggs of Hamilton, OH; and several nieces, nephews, friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Pallbearers will be: Billy Matthew McCoy, Eric Clere, Chris Boggs, Justin Parsons, Cam Parsons, Mark McDavid, Jerry Lee Cartwright, Jason Carroll and T.J. Moore.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday June 8th, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Delmar Rogers, Leonard Gollihue and Eric Clere officiating. Burial will follow in the Grayson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am until the service hour Thursday at the funeral home.
