Jay M. Holbrook

Jay M. Holbrook, 81 of Grayson, KY went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Jay was born December 1, 1939 in Webbville, KY a son of the late Charles H. and Effie Webb Holbrook. Jay was retired from AK Steel in Ashland, owned and operated Holbrook Spouting. Jay loved to farm, fly fishing in spare time and being with his family. He was preceded in death by five brothers, H.C. Holbrook, Robert Holbrook, Blanchard Holbrook, Woodrow Holbrook, and Raymond Holbrook; two sisters, Martha Holbrook, and Tina Bentley. He is survived by three daughters, Tammi (Marvin) Terry, Angela (Rusty) Dawson and Lori Holbrook all of Lexington, KY; one son, James M. (Pam) Holbrook; one brother, Webb (Susan) Holbrook of Grayson; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Joe McCoy, minister. Burial will be in the Holbrook Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. Serving as pall bearers will be, Taylor Holbrook, Jeremy Dawson, Josh Holbrook, Jacob Holbrook, Angie Dawson, and Lori Holbrook; honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Holbrook and Katie Dawson-Lange.
