Jesse C Shepherd

Jesse C. Shepherd, 86, of Grayson went to be with his Lord Friday June 17, 2022 at the King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.  Jesse was born February 5, 1936 in Mansfield, OH a son of the late Tom and Hannah Ison Shepherd.  In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by a son, Bret Shepherd; four sisters, Geraldine Mills, Judy Privette, Irene Stone and Iva Mae Perdue; and two brothers, Bill Shepherd and Eugene Shepherd.  Jesse was a US Navy veteran having served his country honorably.  Jesse retired from General Refractories in Hitchins.  Jesse loved doing wood work and spending time with his family.  Jesse is survived by  a son, Nick (Debbie) Shepherd of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Sherry (Clyde) Wells of Grayson and Candy (Jeff) Hall of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Crystal Shepherd, Josh Wells, Jessica (Ricky) Huffman, Heath Hall and Drew (Natalie) Hall; three great-grandchildren, Bryce Whitman, Sierra Whitman and Sienna Hall; a special friend and caregiver, Elaine Carper; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing.  Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday June 21, 2022 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Bro. Tim Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be 11 am Tuesday until the service hour.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
