Joann Barker

Joann Barker, 89 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Elliott County Nursing and Rehab Center in Sandy Hook. Joann was born in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Matthew Everett and Annie Tackett Swinford. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Grayson. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Daniels, Jr., and her second husband Alvie Barker, daughter, Joyce Ann Colegrove, four brothers, Orville, Sam, Bill and Delbert Swinford, three sisters, Cleatis Hensley, Lula Romans and Lucy Alexander. Joann is survived by four sons, Matthew (Beverly) Oscar Daniels of Grayson, James (Fay) Daniels of Flatwoods, Robert Eugene Ingram of Denton and Samuel (Judy Ann) Barker of Rush, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Lambers. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
