John Frederick Scott, 85 of Paris, KY formerly of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Cambridge Place in Lexington, following a brief illness. John was born in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Elmer Wilson and Harriet Riggs Scott. John was a horse trainer his whole life belonging to, United Professional Horseman’s Association and American Saddle Horse Association, also he was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Grayson Jaycees. John is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Randy) Lynn Stanley of Grayson, a son, Greg Scott of Paris, KY, sister, Debra Sue Napky, Richmond, VA, a brother, William David Scott of Algeciras, Spain, two granddaughters, Julianne Sanders and Abigail Stanley, two great-grandchildren, Julian Sanders and Randi Lynn Sanders, and his significant other, Beth Miller of Paris, KY.
Memorial services will be conducted Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Bagby Memorial United Methodist Church with Scott Hoeksema, minister. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Monday.
