Joseph S Grand Sr.

Joseph S. Grand, Sr., 90, of Webbville went to be with his Lord Friday July 7, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV.  Joseph was born September 29, 1926 in Monument, PA a son of the late Thomas and Jenny Murphy Grand.  Joseph was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Grand; son in-law, Timothy Charles Robertson; and five brother in-laws, Gibb Carey, Bruce Haldeman, George Wright, Jim McGill and Robert Mannotti.

Joseph was a US Army veteran who served his country honorably during  WW II.  Joseph was a brick mason working for over 40 years in Florida, and worked on the railroad in PA. Joseph was a member of The Sons of Italy, Elks, Eagles and American Legion Post 222 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Joseph is survived by a daughter, Cindy Grand Robertson of Webbville; two  sons, Joseph S. Grand, Jr of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Thomas (Melanie) Grand II of Valkaria, FL; five grandchildren,  Joshua (Elizabeth) Robertson of Ohio, Tiersa (Jason) Davis, Jessica Robertson, Ashley Robertson all of KY, and Eric C. (Nicole) Grand of Sicily; two great grandchildren, Abigail Davis and Thomas Grand III; eight sisters, Ruth Haldeman, Naomi Carey, Sarah  McGill all of PA., Becky Wright of Delaware, Rhoda (Fred) Faust of LA., Phoebe Mannotti of PA., Elisabeth (Glenn) McCauley of Ohio and Ester (Ed) Stoffel of Virginia; and a sister in-law, Alberta Grand of PA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.  Local arrangements are entrusted to Malone Funeral Home in Grayson.  Condolences may be sent to the Grand Family at www.malonefuneralhome.com
