Joyce Davis Stapleton

Joyce Davis Stapleton, 87, of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. Joyce was born June 25, 1931 in Olive Hill, KY a daughter of the late Charlie and Thelma Barker Davis. She was retired from the former Cooper’s Department Store in Grayson. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl “Bud” Stapleton; one son Doug Stapleton; sister, Doris Jean Buckler; brother John Paul Davis. She is survived by one son, Donnie (Deborah) Stapleton of Olive Hill, KY; three sisters, Janet Stamper of Lucas OH, Dottie Burge of Olive Hill and Gayle Parsons of Dayton OH; one brother, Jim Davis of Nellysford VA; three grandchildren, Crissy (Eric) Stegall, Justin (Megan) Stapleton and Whitney (Shane) Salley; three great-grandchildren, Erica Stegall, Hannah Salley and Willow Stapleton.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Ray Simmons and Von Thornsberry, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
